Jala’s Page: Books

3 Books, 3 Days. The story of my life.

Jala is the most book-crazy of all of us- she puts all the avid readers out there to shame with her ‘one book a day’ philosophy.” -Rika

If someone could take over the world using books, Jala would be the dictator of the world by now.” -Calister F. Wells

Jala on Inventions:
Inventions is an topic that almost everyone has an opinion on. The greatest invention I can dream up is the idea of having holographic images and 3D holo-real objects (holo-real: Catchy, isn’t it?). In the future almost every thing will be holo-real. Every thing will be holographic but solid, changeable with a push of a button. Whole rooms can be redecorated every day. Cell phones will be so small and then a big projection will pop-up: a touch screen hologram! That’s my greatest invention idea. What are yours? Post a couple in the comments box.

The Future of Books:

We all have the question of what the future will be like, but what is the future for books? Will books live on or fade away with time, technology replacing them? I hope books will live on and grow, but not with technology. For, you see, when we transfer books to videos, tapes, CD’s, and the Internet, the books lose pieces of themselves like the way a rumor twists reality. They would change slowly until the stories can not take any more.

Books are knowledge- we learn from them, we visit the worlds that they take us. Without them, where would we be? I hope that they do indeed live on and grow and that aren’t tossed aside as another useless item that time has torn away. Save the books!

So I was recently asked what this portion of my page has to do with the future. My response is that because of my list, you may be reading one of the books below some where in the near future. So that concludes my list so far; I’m sure I will add to it, so keep checking back if you’re looking for a good book to read and need some ideas!

I have also decided that just making a list was not good enough, so I’m going to make a list and short books reviews. Now because I have so many books I want to write about it will most likely take a couple entries.

Book/Series Reviews:

Twilight series written by Stephenie Meyer

Books in the series: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and the book that is yet to be released is Breaking Dawn.

Summary: Bella falls in love with vampire Edward Cullen, and it changes her life for possibly all of eternity. Edward could kill Bella but for some reason he doesn’t he saves her from all the many dangers she gets in to . all and all it a love story masterpiece that grabs your attention and never lets you go. ; New moon second in the series turns from Edward and Bella’s story to Bella and Jacob’s story. Some say that this book is depressing but i love it aand can’t help but laughing at some parts .;Eclipse third book in the series it it creates a werewolf- vampire relationship.

News: There is currently a movie in production based on the books. If you want more information on these books you check out Stephenie Meyers website: http://www.stepheniemeyer.com

That’s all on my reviews for now(and possibly forever because I am lazy but may write one once very blue moonso…), check in every couple of days (or weeks, sometimes or longer ) to see the more reviews and thoughts from me.

Mikiye-
I completely know how you feel about having a physical book in your hands! E-books are just not the same. Also, don’t think that you posted too much. I ramble too and that it is totally okay.

Thanks for reading Jala’s thoughts!

    WoW!
    YOU WE NOT KIDDING?!!!!
Talk about a SERIOUS BOOK person!

…can I confess I AM SO IN agreement with you on having a “physical paper book” in my hand when I read! A few people I have met were once talking about how they could read books on their hand held devices…I said, “That totally defeats the experience of reading a BOOK.” They looked at me like I crawled out from under a rock. LOL!

…also, I proudly state I LOVE the Harry Potter books too! LOL!
My BF got me turned on to them and I have yet to read the last one. Can you believe, EVEN MY MOM read it right when it came out! LOL

    (sorry for rambling)

  10. Comment by Jennith on February 23, 2008 11:47 am

I love the Twilight Series! The 3rd one, Eclipse, is definitely the best of the books. But we have yet to read the final and 4th book, Breaking Dawn. I’ve read the 3 books at least 4 times each. I’m addicted. Haha!

You don’t like Twlight more than me; for one, I check the site more than you and I have a least 3 pages from the books memorized.

Why does everyone like Twilight so much? It doesn’t sound like an interesting book.

I have a question for everyone who visits here: why do people spend so much time here? This page is one of the highest rank and it doesn’t make any sense!

  17. Comment by Piratical Lord of the Guitars on April 3, 2008 5:20 pm

  18. Comment by Piratical Lord of the Guitars on April 29, 2008 2:31 pm

  19. Comment by Jala on April 29, 2008 8:31 pm

    lol! go antagonistic stare!

  20. Comment by Rika on May 1, 2008 9:03 am

Why is the codename ‘Antagonistic Stare’? Just a random reason, I suppose?

  21. Comment by Piratical Lord of the Guitars on May 3, 2008 3:57 pm

No it has a very logical reason just evryone else is to naive’ to get it …probably because they still don’t know what book we are in fact referring to so it kind of shades the meaning of the code but anyway it does it fact have a meaning and is not just Jala and I being random.

  24. Comment by Piratical Lord of the Guitars on May 31, 2008 8:17 pm
