If you’ve ever wondered what its like to be a Mormon dAP/NHS student who’s about to move during finals week (and school doesn’t get out til the 23rd) who works at TNF, well… you’re in luck. I’m about you give you the inside scoop on a day in the life.

(Saturday)

1. Wake up at 6 am
2. Eat breakfast/get ready/ take a moment to breathe cuz you know you wont get another one
3. Go in and start organizing/packing/getting rid of stuff in your bedroom (630ish-1130ish)
4. Occasionally go and do the same thing in other rooms of the house
5. Write quick TNF post
6. Eat lunch (1130- 12 ish)
7. Go finish #3-4 (12-315)
8. Get stuff together and leave the house
9. Arrive at school for basketball game (330)
10. Work door at game for NHS hours/ study for finals (330-830)
11. Go home
12. Eat dinner
13. Study some more
14. Go to bed (around 1130)

(Sunday)

So all of you by this time, I’m sure, realize how in absolutely in love with Damian McGinty I am. Anyways, he hosted a live chat on Stickam last night. He answered questions from 60,000 people in 30 minutes to an hour (they were simple questions) but there was one answer that I found super amazing and adorable.

The question was “Describe your dream girl” …And his answer was incredible

“Umm….She’d have hair…..on her head……and eyes…….with color in them…….and arms…….and legs……and ears……..actually, I don’t really care” (said in his awesome Irish accent of course )

This is from a guy who could LITERALLY have any girl he wanted, any size, any shape, any color……and he doesn’t care about appearance? Wow….just…..wow give me hope that the world isn’t a completely horrid place like it seems at time. Thank you!

Being a writer makes one a hopeless romantic. I should know. So does Rika. So what do you do when you fall for someone, but the feeling’s not reciprocal? As a writer, there are many options–but generally just one or two get chosen. The first: you write out your tragedy, eventually placing the character based on you with another in attempts to convince not only your readers but yourself as well that eventually someone better will come along. Option two: you write a fictional romance between yourself and the other person, hoping to bring hope back to a seemingly hopeless situation. I am one of the latter. And that’s why this quote really hits home with me.

Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I just started back to school, and we all know how hectic that gets But I’m back today with a quote!  This one I actually got off of Rika’s other website.

Obstacles are things a person sees when he takes his eyes off his goal.

Don’t ever take your eyes off your goal. It doesn’t matter what that goal is- college, career, deadline, developing a talent, improving your mile time, whatever- the only way your going to reach it is if you keep your eyes on the prize and don’t even think about the obstacles. Superheroes, stereotypically, are known for strength and courage. We can all be superheroes  in that sense. Sure, we may not fly around in capes and tights, but we can all be strong. Sometimes strength is loving something enough to hold on…. other times, its being able to look and plan far enough ahead to let something good go so you can attain something better. This is my new motto for the next *at least* 365 days. People recently have been underestimating me and telling me I can’t. So I found this quote…..
