Cake is awesome. Sure, the processed flour turns to sugar in your bloodstream. Sure, as a result of that your fat metabolism is slowed down. Despite all that, I love cake as much as the next person.
Why? Well, our culture has turned cake into the official birthday food! You never see balloons and smart aleck cards poking fun at people’s ages sans the cake.

That’s not to say that cake- if eaten moderately- isn’t an entirely bad thing. (Or at least we try to convince ourselves of that)
Well all health worries aside, props to Piratical Lord of the Guitars! Its her birthday today, and we all wish her a day full of yummy proccessed flour and people breaking out into spontaneous rounds of an out of tune “Happy Birthday!”
