What Ticks You Off? (Pet Peeve Week)
Categories: Editorials

What is your pet peeve?

Mine is the phrase, “pet peeve”. That ticks me off. What does it even MEAN? Pet is an animal. Peeve? What kind of word is that!

So whoever is the GENIUS on the staff who coined that phrase for this week ought to spend a whole hour blowing up 99 red balloons so that the rest of us can dance around singing just like in Scrubs. Or, even better, they will be forced to watch annoying animated movies! (Something else that ticks me off)

As time progresses, more things will tick us off. Here’s a short list of annoying habits that will possibly take place in the future:

  • People who turn on their hover car and let it idle for forty gazillion minutes. (Most likely those things will be loud right after being invented)
  • News anchors and their constant proclamations and questions of “It’s the end of the world?”, “It’s the end of the world!”, “It may be the end of the world!”, “WE’RE GOING TO DIE!!”, “False alarm”, “This many minutes until the end of the world!”, “Purchase a handy end of the world countdown clock so YOU canĀ  be prepared for the apocalypse!”, and so on.
  • Every single day of the year being occupied by some sort of holiday. Fruitcake Appreciation Day. Rain forest Remembrance Day. Sane News Anchor Day. Happy Today’s-Not-A-Holiday Day!

Oh, the list could go on. But I’ll spare you from the rest of the list.

Keep visiting for the rest of the week to read about what ticks the rest of the staff off!

And they are prohibited to use Pet Peeve anywhere in their posts. Or there will be quite an abundance of red balloons.

Good point about the phrase “pet peeve” but what else would we call it? I mean…”a thing that ticks me off is…” takes a long time to say lol

  2. you could say something random like it’s a synonym for a two letter word with both words beginning with p and is basically an annoyance or something that drives you crazy and happens to be this week’s theme!

  3. Rika says:

way to be creative, PLOTG. For that, you get a slice of pantolonie cheese
