HFCS: The Not-So-Sweet Reality

You know to question the motives of a pro-high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) campaign when it’s run by the HFCS companies themselves!

http://www.sweetsurprise.com is a website centered around the health benefits of what is probably the worst sweetener out there.

From the cute little videos about people who are conveniently unaware of the health problems associated with HFCS to each sugar coated word in the FAQs, this website effectively dodges every effect of eating too much HFCS!

The reason this website- and all of those videos with the infuriatingly ignorant anti-HFCS actors- exist is because the public now knows that HFCS is unhealthy. And because we have declined our intake of it. And because we want to lead a longer, healthier lifestyle.

But apparently the corn refineries have decided to attempt to get us to change our intentions to get more cash. And the FDA is supporting them.
