Guitar Hero is a game where the object is for you to press different colored buttons on a plastic ‘guitar’. The satisfaction people get out of jamming a bunch of buttons I just can’t comprehend. I played real guitar before guitar hero, and saw Guitar Hero as a complete waste of time. Plus, I wouldn’t be surprised if a study came out showing that playing guitar hero gave it’s participants carpal tunnel. It’s worse than normal video games in terms of pressing buttons quickly, and for long periods of time couldn’t possibly be good for you.
But video games are not nearly as bad as people say; some of them (the non-shoot ‘em up kinds) actually teach important skills relating to the economy, stocks, and other important decisions. This is the first generation that is the one to live all their lives with technology. Growing up with cell phones and videos might take their toll, though….. But what do you think? Leave a comment.

Ok…I have no idea who put this comment above but I am really surprised that PLOTG didn’t comment on this article because we all know how much she likes music. And unfortunately, I have never even tried to play Guitar Hero before considering all I have video game wise is my mom’s Atari so that obviously does not have that as a feature. I do want Guitar Hero which would go on my Wii and get the Wii Fit. That looks totally amazing. But yeah, a lot of video games do have a purpose to them (and a good one if they’re not shooting games) but usually if the game is popular, it has to do with shooting. Trust me, I know someone who basically lives at a place where it has shooting game features on the computer. He never leaves…but anyway this whole pressing button thing on the Guitar Hero couldn’t be worse than texting (in which I do very fast and frequently thank you very much) lol but hopefully the world doesn’t end because of video games…
